Kelowna has grown apples and peaches and cherries. It’s grown grapes into wine that has earned the attention of the world and is fast becoming a great small city—not just in Canada but also in the world. Prodigy, a new 36 story high rise of residential and commercial use sits in the heart of Kelowna’s growing innovation district.
The name suggest intelligence, which speaks to the UBCO university’s new campus across the road, but also speak to the attributes of the building itself. Smart design, intelligent communal spaces, forward-thinking integration with the streetscape, and innovative community-building programming and placemaking.
I created a brand and logomark that blends contemporary design styles with classic Swiss design principles. It has a scientific future-forward feel which matches well with the amenities program. The design showcases the development as a brilliant newcomer on the scene within Kelowna.
