Taymouth Castle, set in the Scottish Highlands and sprawling over 450 acres along the River Tay, is one of Scotland’s most significant privately owned estates. When Discovery Land acquired Taymouth Castle, they planned to develop a collection of hospitality suites within the castle and private residences on the grounds. I created branding to capture the castle’s allure and appeal for a new generation of international prospects and property collectors.
Inspired by the Campbell Clan crest, which features a boar’s head beautifully carved into stone, gilded onto rooftops, and painted into century-old artworks, I designed a logo that pays homage to this rich heritage while appealing to a modern audience. The emblem, which adorns the interiors of the castle with its intriguing and inviting message, ‘follow me,’ offers guests an opportunity to explore a fresh and unexpected destination, blending historical charm with contemporary allure.
The brand captures the color, craftsmanship, stories, and intricate details of the castle, blending legendary elements with a contemporary appeal.
